Young Scientist Award for Sarah Theiner

Dr. Sarah Theiner from the Institute of Analytical Chemistry has received the Nu Young Scientist Award for Pioneering Work in Inorganic Mass Spectrometry at the 2024 Winter Conference on Plasma Chemistry in Tucson, Arizona, USA.

This award honors and promotes outstanding contributions to the field of inorganic mass spectrometry by rising younger scientists at early stages of their careers.

As an expert in the field of inorganic mass spectrometry, Dr. Sarah Theiner has contributed with her studies to fundamental work in LA-ICP-TOFMS imaging of biological samples at the single-cell level, in the area of cancer research, in particular chemotherapeutic drug development.
